Last month I headed to Las Vegas for the Latin GRAMMYs to cover the awards for my entertainment outlet – Faranduleo 411, and while I’m still working on the actual post from the trip, I did want to share with you my look for the night. I shared the look on social media and got lots of questions on the outfit, especially the heels.
For the dress I knew it had to be dressy since the Latin GRAMMYs tend to be the fanciest of all the awards show, and while I was fine with shopping for a new dress, I didn’t want to spend a lot on a dress I might never even wear again. Prior to going shopping, I dug into my closet and ended up finding one I could recycle from years ago; it was a dress I used for my cousin’s wedding. You can never go wrong with black, and the dress had some sequins in the shoulder area which made it dressier.
When it came to the heels, I wanted ones that would make the look pop since the dress was black. I found some heels which I loved but couldn’t get since they didn’t have them in my size. I found another shoe store at the mall that had some that were also perfect. Not only did they stand out and go perfectly with the dress, they were actually comfortable since the heel wasn’t super high, which is what I needed for that long day and night. If you’re in the Los Angeles area and want to know where I found them, I purchased them at the Los Cerritos Center and the name of the shoe store is Reflection. They were less than $50!
To finish off the look and because it was cold in Las Vegas, I wore a cape coat I also bought several years ago that finished off the look perfectly.
Just another proof that sometimes we just need to dig into our closets to complete an outfit!
