Sharing with you my latest trip to Miami and my experience driving the 2019 convertible Chevrolet Camaro

I recently visited Miami for the first time since I moved back to LA, and what other way could I possibly go back other than with a convertible! Chevrolet was kind enough to loan me a convertible Chevy Camaro during my visit to Miami, and I cannot emphasize to you guys how much I loved driving this car!

I spent a week in Miami mostly to visit with friends because I missed them, as well as reconnect with a city I love and called home for 3 years. I stayed with my friend in Key Biscayne, which if you’re not familiar with Miami, is a small island off of Miami (no, it’s not part of the Keys). So, naturally, driving a convertible for my stay in Key Biscayne seemed very fitting.

I loved driving to and from the island because I would lower the top and let the breeze and sun, but especially views, remind me why I love this city so much. I got to visit with some of the friends I have that hold a very special place in my heart. Some who don’t live in Miami happened to be in the city around the same time so I also had the chance to meet up with them. Also, being in la Ciudad del Sol, I could not pass up the opportunity of heading to the beach; both in Key Biscayne and Miami Beach.

Sharing my latest trip to Miami and my experience driving the 2020 convertible Chevy Camaro

I reconnected with a city I love, food I love even more, and with friends that mean the world to me all while driving a pretty cool car. What else could I ask for on my visit back to Miami? Yes, my friends also loved my car, and it’s safe to say we had a great and fun time driving around the city in it! I also got a few stares from strangers because the car was just so beautiful.

Now for the car! First of all, look at it! It’s beautiful and fancy! It was a white 2019 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS Convertible,so it had all the amenities one could want in a vehicle:

6.2L V8 DI engine

8-speed paddle shift automatic transmission (which was great because I don’t know how to drive a manual)

StabiliTrak, electronic stability control system with traction control

Rear Park Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Vision Camera

Bose® premium 9-speaker audio system

Brembo® front and rear performance antilock brakes

Electronic parking brake

Keyless open and start

8-way power driver seat and6-way power passenger seat

Seats, driver, and front passenger heated & ventilated with leather trimmed seats

Leather wrapped and heated steering wheel

20″ bright, 5-spoke, Silver-painted aluminum wheels with summer-only tires

4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspot capable

Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert

Power Convertible Top with hard Tonneau Cover with remote activation

Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus 8″ Diagonal HD color Touchscreen Voice Recognition and many more specs!

The car was also surprisingly really good on gas, so much so that I only had to pump gas once during my week there! That was one of the things I wasn’t looking forward to when I found out I’d be driving this vehicle since I knew it was a sports car so I assumed it would be a gas guzzler; but I was so surprised to find out it wasn’t! I only ended up pumping gas the time I was there so I wouldn’t leave it nearly empty once I turned it in. I drove all around Miami and even Fort Lauderdale since that’s where I flew into, but I was driving all over the city since I was out and about visiting friends and places I missed. So that was definitely another added bonus about this vehicle. Not only is it a strikingly beautiful car, I mean, just look at it! It screams beauty and luxury! Also, having the added bonus of it being a convertible was pretty cool since I had never driven one before so there is a little joy one experiences when driving with the top down. Not gonna lie, driving with the top down made me feel cool lol! Now, I will say that because it is a sports car, just like any other, it is a little small in the rear seat area as well as the trunk, but nothing really major, and nothing that all of its other added features don’t make up for! This has got to be by far my most favorite Chevy car to have driven! Can’t wait for another trip so I can request this exact model again lol! You guys also loved it too since I got so many messages on Instagram telling me how beautiful and fancy you guys thought it was while I was driving around Miami! Price wise, the base model isn’t pricey, but with this trim and all the added features and specs, this exact one runs about $50k; still not too bad. Overall, an amazing and cool car! It definitely made my trip to Miami the best possible!

Thank you, Chevy, for an amazing experience driving the Camaro during my visit to Miami! You have no idea how much personality and fun it added to my visit! ¡Hasta la próxima!
