A couple of months ago, I headed on our annual family vacation to Mexico and although I’m still working on the actual travel posts, I wanted to share with you the outfits I wore while in one of the cities we visited.

The second location we visited during this trip was the city of Campeche in the state of Campeche in the Yucatan Peninsula. It’s a hot and humid city year round which is why I knew I had to take light clothing that wouldn’t make me feel even hotter since we’d be doing a lot of walking. I strategically included shoes I could reuse in all cities such as some white sneakers for the walking we’d be doing, except it was so hot, I ended up changing back into my sandals. I did however use the same sandals for both outfits while we were in the city and opted for black sneakers the day we headed to the Mayan Ruins.

Travel day

Even though the flight from Mexico City to Campeche was relatively short, I wanted to be comfortable. I opted for black pants, a black shirt, the super comfy sandals I would reuse throughout this part of the trip, a jean jacket because the airplane is cold, and a tote I purchased just for this trip. Classic and chic, yet comfortable.

Day 1

Because I wanted to be cool and comfortable, I opted for wearing this jumpsuit I found at Target. It turned out to be perfect for the hot and humid weather. And because we’d be walking around the colonial center of the city that day, I added these super comfortable sandals I also found at Target, and this fanny pack from Eloquii since the last thing I wanted to do was carry around a purse or worry about forgetting it somewhere.

Day 2

On the second day, we headed to the Edzna Mayan ruins and an ex-hacienda in the middle of the Campeche jungle so I wore a romper I also scored at Target. I knew it would be hot and humid but I also didn’t want to expose my skin too much to the harsh rays of the jungle sun so I opted for this one that has long, yet breathable sleeves. I then added black sneakers because I knew we’d be doing a lot of walking but it would also be on grass and it might also include some climbing. Added as a final touch, the same fanny pack I used the day before in the city, which happened to match perfectly.

Day 3

On the third and final day in Campeche, we would stay in the colonial area of the city again to visit places we missed the first time around. This time, I opted for a summery and super comfortable dress (with pockets!) and paired them again with the sandals from the first day, and the fanny pack I had been using for this trip. I specifically purchased this color so it would match with all the outfits I took on the trip, and it paired perfectly! I absolutely love the fanny pack because it has several pockets and compared to other fanny packs, it’s huge yet doesn’t look like it and can easily store everything you need including your phone and an extra battery which I always tend to carry.

As you might have noticed, pretty much everything I wore on this part of the trip was from Target. Even though this post is NOT sponsored by them, the truth is you and I both shop there a lot (you know you do) and I wanted to share how their clothes helped me complete my looks for the trip without having to spend so much money on clothes.

I will also be sharing my outfits from Mexico City and Riviera Nayarit in the next few posts, so stay tuned!
