For our trip to Puerto Vallarta, we decided to stay at the Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta Beach Resort & Spa since we had such a great experience during our stay in Cancún at one of their other properties. For this stay we chose a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony overlooking the whole resort and pool area. While the resort is smaller compared to their other resorts, I actually liked this one more because of how much more welcoming and friendly the staff was, as well as the beautiful and bright Mexican inspired décor that exists all throughout the resort, but especially in the rooms and suites.

The 2 bedroom suite
The 2 bedroom suite consists of a full size kitchen with all the “fixings”, a living room with a Murphy bed or a sofa bed (as you can see behind the sofa in the picture below) and a balcony. We never even used the bed since we fit perfectly in the 2 bedrooms, but if you go with extra people, you can certainly accommodate them there.
Absolutely LOVED this Frida Kahlo décor on the wall in the living room. Besides the actual painting in itself, what I also loved were those bright colors. The colors along with the contrast of the white of the walls gives it a very clean and bright Mexican feeling to the suite.
One of the bedrooms had a King size bed, a closet, and another balcony.
The bedroom mentioned above which I guess could be called the Master Bedroom connected with this main bathroom, and through the other door, it connected to the hall.
The other bedroom consisted of 2 Double size beds and a closet.
In the hall towards the entrance of the suite was a second smaller full bathroom with a washer and a dryer as well.

The pool and beach areas
We went during the low season right before the Mexican Independence rush of national tourism kicked in which is why the resort doesn’t look packed. There were guests of course but not the typical amount you would see during the high season. It was nice to have it all to ourselves for several days.
