Hey, guys!! If you’ve been following my last posts, you know that I was in Arizona for the recent holiday weekend. While there, we stayed at the Phoenix Marriott Tempe at The Buttes.
When we arrived, we picked up our room keys and proceeded to our room. The room is pretty spacious, which is something I like and always appreciate when I stay at a hotel/resort. The room had been recently remodeled completely which was nice because it made you feel like you were staying at a new hotel.
Overall, it was a great hotel, I would definitely stay here when I visit the Phoenix area again because we got great value for our money. However, there are a few things that they can improve, such as having the rooms available (ours wasn’t available when we checked-in) and not always giving the guests the same excuse. Not having the room available is understandable if you’re checking in prior to the check-out time, but when it’s late afternoon, the rooms should be ready. There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby but there is a surcharge for using it in your room. That’s understandable, but considering there are so many hotels and resorts with free Wi-Fi, they might want to reconsider that as well. Parking was pretty good, but note, there is a $10/night charge for self-parking or valet. Compared to other hotels in the area, the charge isn’t that much. As mentioned earlier, I didn’t get a chance to see the spa or the pool area, which is something I was really looking forward to, nor did I get to see their Top of the Rock restaurant which has stunning views of the city (or so I’ve been told).
I hope to visit again soon so I can visit parts of the hotel that I didn’t get a chance to see this time around.
Hope you enjoyed the review and stay tuned for more posts from my trip since I was there for such a short amount of time!
