“This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Autotrader and DiMe Media. However, all opinions expressed are my own.”

With my impending move to Los Angeles, one of the things I’ve been considering is turning in my vehicle for a newer one for two reasons. One being that my lease is up in a few months, and two because out with the old and in the new, right? That’s why when Autotrader reached out to collaborate with them by checking out their new and revamped website, I said yes.

Their website recently underwent a transformation which basically translates to it being more personalized to the shopper and more user friendly. I quickly started looking into it to check out my options, but prior to doing that, I must admit that I was a little stressed out because car shopping is never an easy task. I felt it would be too overwhelming because if it’s already hard and stressful to do in person, how much more would it be online? I was wrong. The process of searching was seamless and pretty easy.

Here’s why I loved the experience.

Very user friendly – As soon as you open the website, it’s clear to you that this will be an easy experience. The website doesn’t confuse you because it straight out asks you what make and model you’re looking for, and what zip code you’d like to conduct your search in. If you’re not looking to buy or sell, it’s also easy to navigate since on the top you can select what you’d like to do while on the website. There really is no wrong way to navigate through the site. This is due to the transformation it underwent earlier this year.

Personalized shopping – Personalizing my search was very easy because the website itself is easy to navigate. It’s kinda like looking for a hotel because on the left side of the screen, you can customize the search to your liking. How much mileage are you looking for in a car, how far back in years do you wanna go (how old is the car), how far in radius do you wanna do your search, etc. These are just some of the ways you can narrow and customize your search. I was undecided between two different SUVs so I checked one and then the other in order to make my decision. I also wanted to see which one was more within my budget, and searching for it this way helped a lot. I also wanted to see my options with the make and model itself so when I was completely ready to purchase the vehicle, I would know exactly what I wanted.

There’s an app for itAutotrader also has an app that’s just as easy to navigate and understand as its website, and that’s because their new look is consistent across desktop, tablet and mobile which means the loading time is much faster all across. Plus, nowadays, most of us like to do things on the go so being able to have the same experience on your tablet or cell phone that you have on your laptop is another plus for us the consumers.

Kelley Blue Book can help you – We all know Kelley Blue Book because at some point in our adult lives we’ve checked it when purchasing or selling vehicles, right? Well, Autotrader is the only third-party listing site to feature the Kelley Blue Book Fair Market Range on all of their eligible vehicle inventory listings.

All in all, the website proved to be very handy especially in my situation since with my move, I already have enough stress as it is without having to add more to it while figuring out what to do with my car. I was able to come up with a few solutions to it that I will definitely be testing out to see which one works best for me. If you’re in the market for a vehicle or simply want to sell yours, or maybe want to do both at the same time, definitely checking out Autotrader should be at the top of your list.
