Hey, guys! Up until recently, I used to drink a lot of coffee so my teeth were getting more and more yellow. I had actually considered getting my teeth whitened, so when I was recently contacted by NovaWhite regarding their at-home teeth whitening system and their offer to review the product, I was excited to check it out. I received a package from them which contained two boil n’ bite trays and four 20% whitening gel syringes as well as the instructions on how to use the system.

The first step was to boil water and insert the trays into the boiling water for a few seconds, just enough to soften them. Once they are softened, you bite into them so they can mold into the shape of your teeth. Do one and then the other. Once that’s done and they’ve cooled down, you grab one of the syringes and put some of the peroxide gel onto the front portion of the trays as that will be the part that will be pressing against your teeth. You can start off with 30 minutes to test your teeth and gum sensitivity although the recommended time is anywhere between 1-3 hours. The time can vary by person as you can do it in intervals of 30 minutes or intervals of one hour, whatever works best for you. You can do that every day until you reach the desired level of white you want.

Now for my review. The whole process was relatively easy because the molding of the trays only needs to be done once, so once that’s done, the subsequent times, the process itself is faster. I must admit that although it was easy to do, I might have left the first tray in for too long in the boiling water which in turn made it too hot to handle so I slightly messed up the first tray. No need to fret, I was still able to use it perfectly, it just didn’t come out as perfect as the second tray. After that, I put the peroxide gel via the syringe, that in itself was very easy. Once that was done, I inserted both trays onto my teeth. I kept both trays in for a total of about an hour because I wanted to test my sensitivity. No sensitivity whatsoever this first time around and once I removed them, I could see a small difference; they didn’t look as yellow. You just need to make sure you don’t apply too much peroxide gel to the tray because it can seep through and you might end up swallowing it (not to mention, waste it), just put a line across the front part of the trays.

I decided to try it out again two days later before my trip and also left it on for another hour. This time, the shade looked even whiter and still no sensitivity. I haven’t used it after that because I left on my trip but I plan on using it again because I like it. This product is pretty good if you want something more economical than getting a whitening treatment with a dentist which can cost you several hundreds of dollars. The whole process is easy, it works and there’s no sensitivity. I still have 2 syringes left so I definitely plan on using them up and if it’s still not the shade I want them, then I will most likely order more syringes. That’s another great thing about this product, you can order more syringes so you don’t have to buy the whole system again once you run out. It’s practical and pretty economical.

Here is a before and an after picture. I’d say they look pretty good now. Please note that there has been no retouching done to the color of the teeth; these are the exact shades they were and are.
