Miami’s weather has its perks. The humidity is great for your skin especially your face because it helps it stay hydrated which aids in preventing wrinkles, but unfortunately for some of us, that humidity is not enough for other areas of our bodies. I tend to have dry legs and arms, especially elbows and knees which is why I’m always looking for ways to incorporate more moisturizing products into my regimen. I’ve tried body oils but they tend to get messy because well, it’s oil so it can make the floor of your bathroom slippery, and then you have to clean it up. Not to mention you get it all over your clothes or sheets. See what I mean when I say messy. So, I stopped using it until I could find something else that could substitute it.
On a recent trip to Walmart I found the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer and read how it works and it seemed pretty easy so I decided to give it a try. But, since I couldn’t decide on what scent, I got two. I got the Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer with Cherry Almond Essence (this scent is exclusive to Walmart) and Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer with Refreshing Coconut Oil. I found them in the aisle where all the body creams are at.
I loved it because it’s not an oil, it’s a cream. Plus, it’s a cream you put on while still in the shower on your wet skin so you avoid all that mess. I love that you apply it on your wet skin. Weird, right? We’re usually told to apply creams on our dry skin but applying this moisturizer on your wet skin is better because it locks in the moisture. It’s lightweight, instantly absorbs and slides on smoothly. Plus, the scents are perfect. They smell really good but aren’t too overpowering. My favorite out of these two is the Cherry Almond one.
I also loved the results. It kept my skin so moisturized including my elbows and knees, and that’s especially important living in a city like Miami since it’s always hot, we tend to show more skin than most people in other places do, and nobody wants dry or ashy skin showing. You guys know that I travel a lot as well and believe it or not, I’m also taking these on my trips because they’re so handy and easy to use. Sometimes I pack it into my check in luggage or empty some into a small container so I can pack it in my carry on. This has definitely been added to my skincare regimen, especially now for the Summer. Plus, this is Jergens®, a brand we’ve known and trusted for years so you know this product will live up to its name. So whether you live in Miami, LA, NY or Texas, we could all use a little more moisturizer in our regimen. What else do you recommend I add to my regimen? Let me know in the comments below.
