With Summer in full effect, I wanted to show you some of my favorite beauty products for this season. These are products that I have been loving and using so far. Note that some of these products were gifted to me but I am only recommending them because I truly love them and use them.
Belli Anti-Blemish Facial Wash ($22): I love this facial wash. I received it along with a few other products from the same line but haven’t had a chance to check the other ones out. This one I have been using and love how gentle but effective it is. Belli is a brand that develops products for pregnant women, nursing moms, as well as moms in general. All Belli products are allergy tested and free of parabens, BPA, phthalates, and artificial dyes. This specific product is made with lactic acid, green tea, and cucumber. It does not contain teratogens (ingredients linked to birth defects or miscarriage during pregnancy), salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or benzoyl peroxide which can’t be used during pregnancy. The products are all OB/GYN recommended. Now, I’m not pregnant but I love using it because if it’s gentle enough for a woman to use during her pregnancy, then it’s a great product to use in general. Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm in Sweet Rose ($19.50): I love this scrub! I use it every so often at night before my nighttime beauty routine. It leaves your lips super soft, and I finish it off with a lip balm before going to sleep. What’s cool about this product is that it is two products in one. One side is the sugar scrub and the other side is a lip balm. It’s very compact so it’s ideal for taking along in your purse or on vacation. It comes in a variety of colors.
Crest 3D White Luxe Supreme FlexFit Whitestrips ($64.99): These whitestrips are amazing! They start working immediately after using them. I love that they’re not harsh on the teeth or the gums, you can barely feel them when they’re on, and they don’t have a weird aftertaste. After just 2 applications, I could see results, and other people could too. You leave them on for an hour and then remove them but you don’t get that weird ugly aftertaste most whitestrips leave. These are highly recommended and they’re perfect for Summer because if you have trips planned, you can easily take them with you. These are the best that I have tried, and the most effective.
Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant ($4.89): I received a few of these to try out at the recent Dove event I attended here in Miami, and I decided to put it to the test. A few weeks after that I headed to Orlando for a few days of vacation and I visited the Disney parks. We are in the middle of the Summer season so it was very hot. Every day was over 90 degrees with a high humidity level so I figured this would be the perfect way to test and see how good this deodorant was. It passed the test. Not only does it leave your underarms smooth, it’s also great at odor & sweat protection. The product provides up to 48 hour antiperspirant protection, contains ¼ moisturizers to care for your underarms, 0% (ethanol) alcohol formula is kind to your skin, and leaves you with soft and smooth underarm skin. Definitely recommended! Remember it’s Summer so we’re wearing a lot of sleeveless clothing and bathing suits so make sure your underarms look nice and smooth, too.
e.l.f. Matte Lip Color in Berry Sorbet ($3): This is a new color I discovered on my most recent trip to Target, and it immediately caught my eye. It glides super smooth and dries as a matte lipstick, but is moisturizing enough to not leave your lips super dry like other matte lipsticks tend to do. This is a gorgeous berry color and I absolutely love how it looks on my skin tone. Although it’s a color I’m sure will look good almost on everyone. These lipsticks come in a variety of colors and are very affordable yet high quality. This is however, my favorite color for this season. You can see how it looks on me here and here.
Advanced Suncare Clear Cool Lotion SPF 50+ and Advanced Suncare Silky Sheer Face Lotion 50+ ($10.99 each): I love both of these products and have been using them for a while now. They’re my favorite to use when hitting the beach or the pool, and the face lotion I use daily. I love that it dries fast but isn’t greasy and works well with your makeup. The body lotion is great too and my favorite out of all the ones I’ve tried because it’s like a cool gel but isn’t sticky or greasy at all and dries super fast.
