Hey, guys! Here is the second post of my Mexico trip. You can read the first post about Mexico City here. Besides Mexico City, we also went to Puebla. I first visited Puebla years ago and I loved it so much, I just knew I had to go back again one day. This time around, I took advantage and made sure I made plans to visit. Puebla is also a very modern city but is much more calmer than the hustle and bustle of Mexico City. Puebla, just like Mexico City, is also full of history; it is home to the Cholula ruins (Great Pyramid of Cholula). Puebla also has great food; the Mole Poblano and the Chiles en nogada are native to this place (both are DELICIOUS). It is also home to the active Popocatépetl volcano. If I had to choose a city to live in Mexico, I would probably choose Puebla, especially because it’s relatively close to Mexico City; only about a 2 1/2 hour drive. If you ever get a chance to plan a visit to Mexico, make sure to include Puebla in your itinerary. I guarantee you’ll love it. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
i LOVE it! now i wanna go! would you recommend Puebla over Cancun or Yucatan?
I would recommend all three!!! LOL! It just depends what you want to see. Puebla is completely different from Cancun. Cancun is beach/resort style and Puebla has no beach; it’s just a historic but very modern city. If you ever go to Cancun, you can actually go to Yucatan as well, it’s close; the Chichen Itza ruins/pyramid is in Yucatan and it’s only about a 2 hour drive and they offer tours. You can also do like a road trip. Puebla is different and located close to Mexico City and towards the center of the country; Cancun and Yucatan are in the Caribbean/Gulf of Mexico area. Either way, I recommend all three!!!
