This weekend I had the opportunity to attend the Lifestyle Bloggers National Conference which this year celebrated its 5th anniversary and was held at The Reef LA (in downtown LA). The event kicked off with a VIP cocktail party at the VIP Suite at the Citadel Outlets (yea, I didn’t know they had one either lol) on Thursday night.
At the VIP cocktail party, we had drinks and some hors d’oeuvres and it was mainly a great occasion to network with other fellow bloggers. We also had some encouraging words by celebrated writer, director, actor and author Rick Nájera. During the VIP cocktail party, I ran into Cynthia, a fellow blogger whom I had only met through social media and she introduced me to Mary, another blogger she had befriended there. We all clicked instantly and chit-chatted the night away; it was great! On our way out, we were given a swag bag! Overall, it was a great start to the conference which would continue the next day.
The next day the conference officially kicked off at Maker City LA which is part of The Reef LA, A Creative Habitat in Downtown LA. While I was waiting in line for registration, I started talking to Ana, a fellow blogger and we also instantly hit it off so we decided to sit together! After registration, we had breakfast courtesy of Corner Bakery Café. During breakfast, we started making conversation with the other ladies at our table, and once again, we immediately clicked! That was pretty much what happened the whole conference; except in a few instances where I talked to other bloggers and we didn’t actually click, so we just introduced each other and went our way. Hey, you can’t possibly befriend everyone, right? After the different panels that day, we ended that day with gourmet chilaquiles from Anepalco’s Café and some drinks from Selvarey Premium Rum, an award-winning rum from Panamá. After that and prior to leaving, we took a few silly pictures at the Photo Booth they had there; it was so funny!
Here are a few pictures from the first day:
We wrapped up the first day with new friends and excited to see what the second day had in store for us.
On our second day, we had bagels and coffee courtesy of Einstein Bros. Bagels and then continued with the blogger panels throughout the day. We ended the day with barbacoa from Anepalco’s Café and some drinks from Ilegal Mezcal. We took more pictures in the Photo Booth and even after leaving (with another swag bag!), continued our conversation in the parking lot! We didn’t want to leave because we were having so much fun!
Here are few more pictures from the second/last day.
One of the panels we participated in was a vlogger production panel and after the panel, we were allowed to explore the studio and we took advantage and had a silly photoshoot (à la Becky). These are some of the pictures lol!
I had a great time and learned a great amount of information at this blogger conference! I confirmed that this really is my niche and what I want to continue doing. I met such beautiful (inside and out) women that we became friends; friends that will encourage and uplift each other in each step of this journey we’ve all begun. I left so inspired and determined to follow my dreams!
I wanted to share the pics and experience with you because you guys are part of my support system and I thank you for that. Stay tuned because I have several events coming up, which have me very excited!!
looks like you had a great time! Those are some awesome pics!
