Hey, guys! I wanted to share two products I purchased last night, although it’s not a review per se. I hit the mall after work because I wanted to try and finish my Christmas shopping, but I found out I have a little problem. Every time I try to finish my Christmas shopping, I end up buying stuff for myself instead! Does that happen to you? And somehow I convince myself that it’s okay by saying, “Well, it’s Christmas, so go ahead and buy yourself the gifts!” lol. This time I purchased two beauty products, even though I already have so many I don’t even know what to do with them! I buy and I buy and just end up collecting them. I am more of a beauty product junkie than a makeup junkie. I’m obsessed right now with trying to get the perfect skin, might be cause I’m getting older 😉 I’ve also started getting monthly facials in an effort to get clearer skin. Because of the skin type I have, my face tends to get more “dirty” than the normal skin type and if I don’t cleanse it correctly, I break out. Nonetheless, I’m still on the quest!
I went to Sephora trying to find something to buy as part of my Christmas shopping, and ended up with two new products for myself instead. I have combination/oily skin and I always get oily/shiny on my T-Zone area so I have been on a mission to find a matte primer. I’ve purchased several and none of them seem to actually work because I still find myself blotting my face the entire day. I asked one of the employees for some help and she referred me to the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector ($36 at Sephora). She said it is by far the best one they carry, so I decided to buy it. It is somewhat pricey, so I will definitely return it if it doesn’t meet my expectations. Once home, I checked the reviews and almost every single one if them is positive, so let’s hope it works.
The other product I purchased was the Clarins Double Serum® Complete Age Control Concentrate ($85 at Sephora), which is definitely on the pricey side. For the most part, I tend to buy drugstore creams for my face and eyes, but I wanted to try a cream that would make my skin super soft and change the overall appearance in regards to fine lines and wrinkles. I want to use it as a preventive measure and not necessarily because I already need it. I mostly wanted a cream that would soften the texture and was told that this serum does just that. I had heard that serums are better as they are more concentrated and tend to penetrate the skin better. So, I decided to purchase it and give it a try. I also checked the reviews once I got home and almost all of them, as well, are very positive, so we’ll see how I like it.
I will post a review on both of them once I’ve had a chance to use them for some time. Do you have any suggestions on what products I can use for my skin type? Let me know in the comments below!
Besos, Becky!
