Growing up my mom always stressed the importance of taking care of my skin because the more you take care of it, the longer you can delay the signs of aging. She has always taken care of her skin since a young age and because of that, she still has great skin today. I, unfortunately didn’t inherit her great skin, my sister got those genes. I got my dad’s genes: oily skin. Because of that I made sure I started young and always took care of it. My skin of course decided to rebel and during my teen years I broke out several times due to my oily skin and well, puberty. That left me with dark spots. As I got older I had to try different products to see what worked best with my needs. Now in my 30s, my needs are still dark spots since I still get the occasional breakout which tends to leave a dark spot; fine lines and I also want to prevent wrinkles or at least delay them as much as possible. I eventually developed a skincare regimen that has worked great with my needs and it’s with none other than with Neutrogena products! No need to spend a lot of money and best of all, you can see results in as little as 1 week! Let me show you how.
After cleansing my skin, I apply the Neutrogena Hydra Boost gel-cream. I absolutely love how this gel cream quenches my skin and how soft and supple it makes it feel. I do have oily skin but remember that oily skin also needs hydration. If your skin isn’t getting enough hydration then it produces more oil. Hydration is key for healthy skin and since I started hydrating my skin more with this product as well as by drinking more water, I have noticed a difference in oiliness. Winning! This product is of a gel-cream consistency so it’s very lightweight, oil free and absorbs quickly. And because it contains hyaluronic acid, it quenches your skin.
I then follow up with the Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 (because we need sun protection all the time especially when dealing with retinol). Because one of my main concerns is dark spots and some uneven skin tone, this product is perfect. It contains retinol and antioxidants such as vitamin C. Lately I’ve been big on using retinol because it’s perfect for anti-aging. Who doesn’t want to delay the aging process?!
The other product I alternate with is the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 because this one helps with the wrinkles. It can fade the wrinkles on your forehead as well as expression lines. It’s also good for crow’s feet which thankfully I don’t have yet but this helps delay them. I also use it for my neck because I have a few unwanted lines. They’re not wrinkles since I’ve had them since I was very young; they’re more similar to expression lines. This product also contains retinol.
I then apply my makeup and I’m ready to head out the door knowing that the products I applied are working for me and my skin because remember, #PielSanaEsBella!
