Welcome to a new Cafecito con Becky post!
Last week I was busy with some projects I’m working on but also had a few events.
One of the many things that I love about working from home is that my view while working can change every day if I wanted it to. For the most part I work from my own apartment but sometimes I like to change it up a bit and work from coffee shops or friend’s apartments or houses. That’s why after having a meeting on Wednesday morning, I headed to Pembroke Pines to visit my friend and work from there. That day I also finally tried the Toston Burger (2 tostones as the buns, then topped with jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and homemade cilantro sauce) from Pincho Factory. Ever since I moved to Miami, I’ve been meaning to taste it but hadn’t had a chance until that day. It was soooooo good! Definitely a must try!
On Thursday I headed to South Beach to Club Monaco to check out their new collection straight from New York Fashion Week. While there I also caught up with some of my friends and enjoyed a night of shopping, drinking and cupcakes. I had to hold back because I wanted to buy their whole store because I loved everything!
That day I also changed my makeup a little and received many compliments as well as questions on it so I wrote a post on it. You can read it here.
On Saturday I visited my friend in Key Biscayne and spent the day there at the pool and the beach along with some other friends of ours.
Yesterday I headed to South Beach along with several friends to celebrate my friend Jose’s birthday at the Marseilles Hotel.
That same night after my friend’s birthday celebration, I met up with another friend for dinner. She travels a lot for work so we don’t see each other much because we’re rarely in Miami at the same time so when we are, we get together and catch up. We had dinner at a Peruvian restaurant in Doral called Divino Ceviche. It was yummy! Although I’ve visited several Peruvian restaurants here in Miami, I have yet to find one that comes close to my favorite Peruvian restaurant in LA called Mario’s Peruvian Restaurant & Seafood, but these will do while I’m here.
This week will be a busy one since Premio Lo Nuestro takes place on Thursday and although I decided to not cover them this year, I will be covering events surrounding them. The South Beach Wine & Food Festival also takes place this week/weekend and I will also be making my way to some events so stay tuned to my Instagram accounts and come back next week as well for all the details!
Gracias a Dios existes. Si me pierdo de algo, me tomo este cafesito contigo y listo: como si tuviera el don de la ubicuidad! xoxo Enri
