It’s already November! Can you believe that?
Hello and welcome to another week’s edition of “Cafecito con Becky”!
As I mentioned in my previous edition, last week would be a very busy one, and it was!
On Monday I met with two friends of mine, Maria and Claudia. Maria and her husband were in Miami visiting from Los Angeles/Tijuana so we decided to meet up and catch up since I hadn’t seen them since earlier this year. We also invited Claudia to join us since we all knew each other and I had been wanting to meet up with Claudia before she moves to Minneapolis. So we all decided to get together and catch up but also say an “Hasta Pronto” to Claudia who is moving due to a new job – congrats! Wishing her the best and even though we’re sad to see her go, we have social media to keep us connected!
¡Deseándote lo mejor, Claudia!
On Wednesday I had two events scheduled back to back, actually they overlapped with each other but I made sure I made it to each one even if they were on opposite ends of the city.
My night started off with dinner at Area 31, a restaurant at the EPIC Hotel in Downtown Miami. The dinner was hosted by La Lechera, and besides fellow influencers, also in attendance was Ana Quincoces. We had a really yummy dinner and then some amazing desserts that were of course made with products from La Lechera. Need I say more?
Before the event ended, I had to leave if I wanted to make my next event. I made my way to Earl’s Dadeland for a Havana Nights event with fellow bloggers. I got there a while after it started since like I mentioned, the two events overlapped but luckily I got there with enough time to spend some time with my friends and enjoy dessert!
On Thursday I headed over to Wynwood for a night of art and style with celebrity stylist Irma Martinez and ALEGRIA Magazine.
We later made our way with Irma to a local boutique which sells clothes and jewelry from emerging Latin American designers.
On Saturday I visited my friend Ana Cristina as she would be preparing her famous Chiles en Nogada (Mexican dish) for her annual get-together scheduled for the next day. Helping her was our other friend Enriqueta. During the cooking process, we did a Facebook LIVE to show the cooking process. I accompanied her that day because I wouldn’t be able to make it to her get-together since I would be out of town.
This week I will be in Orlando for work and play so stay tuned next week for my updates!
¡Hasta la próxima!
