Hola!!! Well, I’m back from Las Vegas from a few hectic days. I went to attend the Latin Grammy’s. It was kind of a last minute thing, which is why I didn’t request media coverage as the deadline had come and gone, but when Yandel and his management team invite you to go, one can’t possibly say no, right?!
I arrived Wednesday night late because of a delayed flight, which I will detail in another post. The awards were the next day and were live for the East Coast which means the red carpet starts promptly (actually a few minutes earlier) at 4pm (PST). So basically, all you have time for that day is breakfast and it’s back to the hotel to get ready, and you know how long that can take for us girls! The tickets to the show were courtesy of Yandel and his management team, so after picking them up, we made our way to the venue. I decided to take my mom with me since she’s never been to an awards show and we had a blast. I also enjoyed the show with my friend Milly who lives in Vegas and sat next to me.
Wisin opened up the awards with his new single, “Que Viva La Vida”, and it was electrifying! I loved it! The awards show was much better than I expected with awesome performers, almost all of whom I love. I mean, can you get better than Pitbull, Marc Anthony, Draco, Ricky Martin, Carlos Vives and Wisin & Yandel all under one roof?! Yandel later performed his new single, “Hasta Abajo”, and surprised everyone with singing, “Algo Me Gusta de Ti”, with Wisin! They had an awesome performance and the chemistry they have on stage is exhilarating. If you tuned in to watch it, you know what I’m talking about. Later that night, I was invited to the Sony Music after party, but I will detail that in another post.
