Hey, guys! I recently visited Universal Studios Hollywood to check out their new Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride and Super Silly Fun Land which I didn’t get to preview on Media Day. I decided to make it a family day and took my parents with me.
The Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride and the Super Silly Fun Land were a great addition to the park; I loved it! You definitely need to check it out; you and your kids will love it! The Minion Mayhem ride is a 3D digital ride which takes you inside Gru’s lab, and it’s super cool!
Super Silly Fun Land is adjacent to the Minion Mayhem ride and is a carnival type setting that has the Silly Swirly Fun Ride and a wet zone area where kids can cool off from the scorching heat we usually experience in Los Angeles.

After checking out the new areas, we continued enjoying the rest of the park.
I’ve also always enjoyed the Studio Tour and love the fact that they’re always changing it up, but still keep some of the staples it is well known for. There is some construction going on along the Studio Tour for the new Fast and Furious: Supercharged (scheduled to open in 2015) which will be the grand finale to the Studio Tour.

There is some major construction going on at the park. On one side, you have them constructing the Springfield (scheduled to open in 2015) area which will surround The Simpsons Ride; and on the other end, they’re constructing the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (scheduled to open in 2016). With these new areas set to open in the next couple of years, as well as the attractions recently opened, the Despicable Minion Mayhem and the Super Silly Fun Land, Universal Studios Hollywood promises to be the major go-to destination in all of Los Angeles.
If you haven’t checked it out, this Summer would be an ideal time to take the kids or go with some friends to visit the new areas at Universal Studios. Make sure you also visit the park in the next few years to check out the new additions!
Hope you enjoyed the pics!
Disclaimer: I received complimentary park tickets from Universal Studios Hollywood to visit the newly opened areas. As always, all opinions are my own.
