Hey, guys! For those of you that know me, you know that I love coffee. I consider myself a coffee connoisseur. Lately, I’ve been trying to cut back on it because of my acid reflux (caffeine makes acid reflux flare-up). I actually tried to stop altogether but I just can’t. Now, I just limit myself to maybe just the weekends instead of every day like before.

Because of my love for coffee, I’m always checking out different café’s to find one that I love. And one that I love is Urth Caffé. Besides the amazing taste their coffees have, it’s organic, and that makes a difference. Prior to visiting them, I hadn’t tasted organic coffee. I must say, organic coffee is the BEST thing, ever! The taste is much more pure and what I love about it is that because it’s organic, which means it has no chemicals, it doesn’t flare-up my acid reflux. When you swallow the coffee, it goes down so smooth. I have yet to have it flare-up my acid reflux. The bad thing (or good!) is that even though they have several locations, they don’t have one close to where I live or work, so I tend to enjoy it only on weekends.

I first visited their Beverly Hills location, which is so cute because it looks like a cottage (couldn’t get a good picture because it was dark). That first time I went, I was unsure about what to order because they had so many good options, but I decided to go with what I knew and ordered the Italian Cappuccino (authentic Italian cappuccino prepared by carefully folding thick, creamy frothed milk into espresso). It was good, but not great. The next time I visited, I decided to try the Spanish Latté (sweet, creamy cafe latté inspired by coffee in Barcelona) and OMG is it good! It’s delicious! I’m going to be honest and say that I haven’t really tried any other one after that because it’s just too good. It’s hands down my favorite! I later decided to try it over ice (that’s what they call their iced coffees) and for some reason, I like the iced even more.

All of their coffee drinks can either be made light (mild), dark (strong) or decaf. You can also have them made with certified organic milk (for a small charge). If you’d rather have them cold, you can have them either over ice (iced) or blended iced (no hydrogenated oil, artificial flavors or preservatives, and most can be made sugar-free). I’m not a fan of blended drinks so I haven’t tasted it; I prefer iced drinks. Besides being known for their coffees, they’re also very well known for their teas which I’ve heard are delicious. I don’t like tea in general so I’ve never tasted them, hence I can’t give my opinion on them. I’m going to say they’re also as good because people order them just as much as their coffees.

I’ve visited four of their locations: Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Pasadena and Downtown LA. The Beverly Hills location is the cutest but it’s hard to find parking sometimes, it’s small and is usually packed. My favorite one is their Pasadena location because it’s pretty big, has an indoor and outdoor patio seating and parking hasn’t been a problem so far. Their Downtown LA location is also good and has indoor and outdoor seating, but it’s best to visit at night because the parking can be a real pain during the day. They do have a parking lot for a fee though. That’s the one I usually visit when I just want the coffee to go because it’s the one closest to where I live.

Urth Caffé also has a full menu which carries salads, sandwiches and pizza, but I have yet to actually eat there. I mostly go for their coffee. I have, however, tasted their almond biscotti which is homemade. It’s the best one I’ve tasted! It’s really good! You can check out their full menu here (may slightly vary by location).

Urth Caffé is definitely a must visit and highly recommended!

Have you visited Urth Caffé? If so, what’s your favorite drink? Let me know in the comments below.
