Hey, guys! I ‘m starting a new series on the blog titled, ‘Things to do in LA this Summer’. For this series, I will be mentioning a few places worth checking out this Summer as well as ideas of what to do whether you live here or plan on visiting.

To start this series, this post will be about spending the day in Hollywood and visiting the Madame Tussauds wax museum in Hollywood. I was recently contacted my them extending an invitation to visit their Hollywood museum so when I decided to start this series, I figured this museum would be a perfect pick for it!

For those of you who live in LA, you know that even though we might be in the midst of it all, we rarely make our way out to Hollywood or visit it as a tourist would. Every certain time, I like to spend the day there and take it all in as a tourist would.

This past weekend I visited the museum with my friends. We decided to make it a girls day out and tour Hollywood. We started off with brunch at the Blu Jam Café in Hollywood (their Crunchy French Toast is delish!) and then headed to the museum.

On our way there, I was wondering how much we would be paying for parking since Hollywood isn’t exactly cheap when it comes to parking. Luckily, once I got there and parked in their parking structure, I saw a sign that said that with validation they give you 2 hours free!

We entered the museum and I have to admit, this was the first time I actually visited one of their locations. Because of that, I had never seen these wax figures up close, so I was really surprised at how realistic they look! Like, really! With some of them, it feels like you’re really with the actual star which made taking pictures, especially “selfies” with them much more fun!

Check out some of the pics we took.

These are just some of the pictures we took. There are many more wax figures at the museum. Some of them have props so you can use them to be part of the scene and take a pic! There are a few photo ops the museum has as well. You can have them take the pic and if you like it at the end of your visit, you can purchase it.

Once you finish your visit, walk around outside on Hollywood Blvd. and take pics like we did. Go ahead, act like a tourist!
