This is the last post in my series of things to do in LA this Summer. You can read the first one here and the second one here. For this post, I decided to visit the Aquarium of the Pacific located in Long Beach. I had only visited the Aquarium once back when I was in college for a school project and I loved it which is why I thought of it for this post. Long Beach is very special to me because I went to and graduated from Cal State Long Beach (GO BEACH!) so for years my days were spent in Long Beach which is why I always tend to go back to it for diversion and for the beach, of course.

We started off the day with brunch at Claire’s at the Long Beach Museum of Art. It’s a beautiful outdoor setting where you can eat overlooking the beach. Loved the place!

The restaurant is close by so it is a great option for brunch before heading to the Aquarium. After brunch, we made our way over to the Aquarium. I was excited to check out their new Jelly exhibits!

My favorite part by far were the Jellies! They’re so pretty! I was in awe at how beautiful and surreal they looked. Amazing to think that they exist! Definitely a must see!

You can also get up close to see real sea jellies! How cool is that?!

After checking out the sea jellies, we continued around the Aquarium. The Aquarium consists of 3 floors which features marine life based on their geographic locations. I especially love the huge aquarium they have in the first floor! There is also an outdoor area which features a Lorikeet section and a Shark Lagoon!

The Aquarium also has an outdoor café with beautiful views of Long Beach’s Rainbow Harbor.

This is definitely one you can’t miss, especially since there are several kinds of discounts being offered right now. Make sure to check out their website prior to going so you can check the discounts and even purchase your tickets beforehand. You can easily spend a few hours there and if you have kids, it’s a great learning experience for them and I guarantee you that they’ll love it.

The Aquarium is located next to The Pike, the Shoreline Village, and the Queen Mary in Long Beach so once you leave the Aquarium, there’s lots to do around in the area!

See why I love Long Beach so much?! It really is a beautiful city! Hope this series of posts helped you and gave you an idea of things to do this Summer. Enjoy!
