Back when I lived in LA, like the majority of people, I believed that success was only reached once you started making a good living off of your job. It didn’t matter if you loved your job or not, the important thing was to make money and lots of it because that would determine how successful you were and what would make you happy. Don’t know if it’s my age, my move, finally finding my passion, or maybe a combination of all of these that made me realize I was wrong.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking these days, re-evaluating certain things and planning others. The other day as I was driving through a neighborhood here in Miami known for having beautiful and large houses, not necessarily mansions, more like estates, I was looking at the houses and thought to myself that it would be nice to have a house there one day. Then it hit me. A huge house doesn’t mean you’re successful; neither does money. Making an impact or a difference in whatever career/field you’ve chosen that is your passion is what will make you truly happy; and that, is what will make you successful.

That is the kind of successful I aim to be…
