I recently attended the Latin American Music Awards and even though I had thought about uploading a step-by-step of my makeup look, I ended up getting ready in a hurry and wasn’t able to detail the step-by-step in pictures. Nonetheless, I wanted to share the products I used to achieve the look, which I received lots of compliments on. I did my makeup myself and it was pretty easy to achieve.

Upclose

I recently received at an Urban Decay event a couple of weeks ago a goodie bag filled with a few products and decided to use them for this makeup look.

PrimerandFoundation

Prior to applying my foundation, I washed my face and then applied a toner. Once that was done, I applied the Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector and then proceeded to apply my foundation. The foundation I used was the Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour full coverage foundation SPF 15 in Tan Honey and I applied it with a damp beauty sponge. I then applied the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer in Medium to my under eye area.

I then set it with the Pixi Quick Fix Powder – Translucid. It comes with a sponge applicator attached to it so you just pat it on your face on top of the foundation once it has dried a little. Then, I applied blush to my cheeks. I used the e.l.f. Studio Blush Palette in Light. I mixed the bronzer (top right) with both blushes on the left (I don’t use the glittery one -top bottom- because I don’t like using glitter makeup) and then applied it to the area underneath the apple of my cheeks.

For my eyeshadow, I decided to use the new Urban Decay VICE4 Palette that came inside the goodie bag I received from them (as mentioned above). But first, I decided to apply their Eyeshadow Primer Potion – Original that I also recently received from them. I needed the eyeshadow to last hours under extreme weather (heat) without creasing which is why I decided to give the primer a try. After applying the primer on my lids, I applied Beatdown (a purple hue) on the whole eyelid and Discreet (cream colored purple hue) on the brow bone. I applied and then blended them with the bush provided in the palette. Please note that I’m not a makeup artist so I don’t get that technical since I don’t know how and I rarely have the time for that either.

Once that was done, I applied Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (which I also recently received from them) in Zero. I applied it to the waterline and did a slight winged liner as well. This eyeliner makes it very easy to accomplish because like the name says, it glides onto your eyelid so you’re not tugging at it. After I made sure they were even (somewhat, because you know that’s nearly impossible), I used the Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effet Faux Cils mascara in Black on my lashes.

Then came the eyebrows, the focal point of your face and what can make or break your makeup look. My eyebrows are usually what take me the longest. For my eyebrows, I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown.

Lipglosses

On my lips, I originally used Urban Decay’s REVOLUTION High-Color Lipgloss in Liar (also recently gifted by them) because I wanted to go light on the lips since I had color on my eyes, but then realized it was too light to the point that it was barely visible. So I decided to add the REVLON Ultra HD Lip Lacquer in HD Sunstone on top of it. That gave it a nice color, yet still subtle. In some of these pictures I only have the Urban Decay lipgloss and in others I have both lipglosses on.

SettingSpray

To finish off the look and to set it all, I used Urban Decay’s All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray (oil-free). I also recently received this from them and decided to give it a try since as I mentioned, I needed the makeup to last the whole day and night under extreme heat conditions. The last thing I needed was for my makeup to start melting off.

The makeup lasted all day and night. It was literally intact when I got home and proceeded to take it off! The eyeshadow never creased and the eyebrows still looked great! I definitely recommend the primer and the setting spray if you ever need your makeup to last.

Outfit Look2

For my outfit, I wanted something that was light and comfortable since that day it would be really hot in LA and I knew wearing something too fancy would make me suffer. I shopped around and found this I ‘Heart’ Ronson Cap-Sleeve Lace Jumpsuit at JCPenney and didn’t think about it twice. I also tried on some dresses but as soon as I tried this on, I felt super comfortable in it and knew it would be perfect. I also loved that it was all lace which made it dressier. It also did’t hurt I got a great deal on it. The original price was $75 but with the sale they had plus the coupons I had, I ended up only paying $28 for it! Score! Who doesn’t love a deal?!

SEheels

I paired the outfit with some Sam Edelman heels that I’ve had for a few years and absolutely love. I forgot to take a pic with them on so here is a picture of how the heels look.

Hope this helps for some of you who had asked me about my look!
