This past Thursday Colombian Reggaeton/Latin Urban singer J Balvin brought his “La Familia Tour” to Los Angeles with much success. The concert took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The tour presented by Toyota took the popular singer across 20 cities in the U.S. The tour concluded this past Sunday in San Diego, California with the same success it had in each of the cities it visited. The singer was accompanied in each of its stops by the young MC Becky G, which unfortunately in the last few cities, Los Angeles included, had lost her voice and ended singing very little but making it up with her dancing.
Prior to his performance at the Shrine Auditorium J Balvin was recognized by The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) as the first-ever artist to earn Diamante (Diamond) certification for a digital song in RIAA’s Latin Gold & Platinum Program. J Balvin received Diamante awards for his songs “6AM” (Featuring Farruko) and “Ay Vamos”. In addition to his Diamante Awards, J Balvin also received RIAA Oro song award for “Sola,” two Platinos for “Tranquila”,“Ginza” and a 2X multi-Platino for “Yo Te Lo Dije.” But those were not the only awards he received that day, as J Balvin was also recognized by Vevo for reaching 100 million views in 5 of his videos.
