For every day use I like and prefer to use BB or CC creams instead of foundation so my skin can breathe a little more, also because I work in an office setting there isn’t much need for a whole makeup ritual every day. Some people might prefer to do that, but not me, I’d rather sleep in those extra minutes (right?!). Because of that, I’ve been on a mission to find a BB or CC cream that offers good coverage, isn’t so liquidy and can cover imperfections but that is also good for my skin. I’m pretty sure I’ve found it. Looking online for suggestions, I found an article (can’t remember which one though) that highlighted the it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better™ CC Cream with SPF 50+ as one of the best out there because of the coverage it provides. I looked for it online and checked out the reviews; there were so many rave reviews on multiple sites that I was convinced I had to try it out.

REVIEW

I went to Ulta and purchased the Your Skin But Better™ CC Cream with SPF 50+ in Medium. I applied it with a beauty blender type of sponge and have been using it every day for about two weeks now. I absolutely love the coverage it provides because it’s the best one I’ve found that’s close to a foundation type of coverage. It covered all of my imperfections but is still light enough to allow the skin to breathe.

Although I absolutely love it, there are two cons I found in this CC cream. It can settle into fine lines contrary to what the product claims, and it is not the best for combination/oily skin because it leaves your skin dewy which looks nice at first but can then make your face look oily. However, after a few days, I decided to try it out while first using a primer, and it definitely changed the look of it on my skin. With a primer, it no longer settled into the fine lines and still looked dewy but not enough to look oily. Needless to say, I only use it with a primer now. The pros definitely outweigh the cons though and I highly recommend it. I especially love the coverage, the 50+ broad spectrum (which is fairly high for a makeup product) and the anti-aging serum.

Using only a primer and the CC cream (no powder or blush).

In the above picture, you can see how my skin looks with the primer and the CC cream only. I didn’t apply powder or blush. Besides the primer and CC cream, I only have mascara and a tinted lip balm. I did this so you can truly see how the CC cream looks without having other makeup distract your attention. This is pretty much how I wear it everyday except I also fill in my eyebrows and sometimes add powder on top. I add powder when I decide to go for a matte finish, if not, then I just wear the primer and CC cream.

If you’re looking for something similar to what I was looking for, definitely check this product out; I highly recommend it. It retails for $38.00 and you can purchase it online or at Ulta (Sephora doesn’t carry it). it Cosmetics has a pretty good line of makeup products and based on this CC cream, I’m looking forward to checking out the rest of it.
