Hey, guys! In this post, I’m going to review a few of the latest beauty products I used, some of which I already mentioned in previous posts and some that I haven’t. Let me know of any products you’d like me to review.

Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector ($36 at Sephora)

This product promised to matte and prime your skin, and at least for me, it didn’t. This product is too time consuming and tedious for everyday use or even sporadic use. First off, you need to “warm” the product in your fingers before applying it to your face, then you need to “pat”, not “rub” it onto your face. Second, it’s recommended you apply it only to your oily areas as it will otherwise dry your skin and make it look white and patchy. That is the same reason why you shouldn’t “rub” it on your face. Then, one of the tricky things with this primer is that you need to wait after applying it before proceeding with your foundation or BB cream BUT you must not wait too long because it will, once again, get white and patchy if you let it dry too much. To top it all off, after doing all of that, I was still oily and shiny as always! This product is too complicated for me. I want and need something that doesn’t require so many steps, but that will work. This product is definitely a NO.

DERMAdoctor Ain’t Misbehavin’ Acne Control Serum ($48 at Ulta)

Now this product is one that I absolutely love and is so worth the money! I recently had a breakout and when I went to Ulta for the mineral makeup I mentioned before, one of the girls that was there recommended this product to help clear my face of the pimples I had. She said it would help soothe and clear the redness as well as get rid of the pimples. I was somewhat hesitant but decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! It is a great product that does exactly what it says it will. It is amazing! It cleared my acne in about 2-3 days without leaving the marks on my skin. Immediately you notice the swelling going down as well as the redness and it also soothes. I love, love it. It lasts awhile so there’s no need to keep buying it, which is good considering its price. It is definitely worth it! Whenever I get a pimple here or there, I immediately start using it and it goes away without leaving that ugly mark pimples usually leave; because it heals it from within. This is definitely a YES!

Conair True Glow Sonic Cleansing Brush ($90 at Target)

I had been wanting to buy a cleansing brush for some time now because I have heard great reviews about the Clarisonic but was hesitant because of the price (about $150). Then, I saw this Conair cleansing brush at Target for $99. I thought about buying it, but decided I would do so later. I finally decided to give it a try when I saw it was on sale for $90 and a free $10 gift card came with it as a gift! So, in reality, I’d be paying $80 for it! Needless to say, I bough it. It comes with its own charging dock as well as two brush heads; one for your face and the other one for your body (additional ones can be purchased). It’s waterproof and safe to use in the shower. It’s pretty cool because it’s set to turn off after 60 seconds (you can turn it on again if you wish), and beeps every 10 seconds so you know to move to another area of your face. Although it says it can be used every day, I wouldn’t recommend it as I felt it cleansed so well, it would just dry your face too much if you use it daily; and I have combination/oily skin so I assume it would do so more for dry and/or normal skin type. I use it about once a week and it’s great. It deep cleanses your skin and leaves it super soft. You can use it with any cleanser you’re already using. You just apply it to your face first and then apply some to the brush head and then start cleansing in a circular motion and when the timer beeps, you move to a different section of your face. It’s convenient, easy and really good for your skin. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin. This is definitely worth the money! This one is a YES!
