Cafecito con Becky – 12/5/16
Welcome to another week’s edition of Cafecito con Becky!
The weeks are just flying by and I can’t believe we’re already in December and Christmas is just 20 days away!
Last week on Wednesday, I headed over to the M3 Studios here in Miami where YouTube had their pop up space for 3 days. On Wednesday I attended one of their music workshops as well as on Thursday. After the workshop on Thursday, there was a panel with several songwriters from the Latin Music Industry. The panel titled “Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame” and consisted of Mau & Ricky (singers and songwriters that happen to be sons of Ricardo Montaner), Motiff (songwriter and producer), and Sergio George (producer, composer, and musical director among other things). After the panel, there was a cocktail hour.
On Friday, my friend Karla arrived from LA who came to celebrate her birthday weekend here so I spent the weekend with her. Karla and I go back years and met when I lived in LA about 10 years ago. We instantly clicked because we have so much in common; we’re both of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, we both grew up in the same city in LA, we both have birthdays in December, and in general have a very similar background which is why we consider ourselves soul sisters.
Happy Birthday, sister!!
This week I have several events so make sure to check back next week for all the updates!
¡Hasta la próxima!
