As I’ve mentioned previously, I occasionally get acid reflux when eating certain foods such as fried foods or really heavy foods such as hamburgers and pizza. When I was originally told by my doctor that I had it, I was prescribed a medication to help prevent it and control it when it happened. I was also told to change my diet and avoid all these foods. I obviously didn’t avoid them much since I figured I didn’t really need to because of the medication I had.

Unfortunately, some of the side effects of the medication were depression and anxiety. I’ve never suffered a side effect when taking a medication but this one turned out to be an exception. I started to get anxious about everything and I couldn’t understand where it was coming from.  I finally realized it was being caused by the medication. I immediately stopped taking it and even though my doctor offered to give me a different kind of prescription, I was too scared to take it. My only option now was to avoid all of the foods that caused it. Do you know how hard that is?!

I continued eating the same things and eventually would get acid reflux every time. I decided to buy over the counter medication for it. It proved somewhat effective until I realized that I was taking the medication almost on a daily basis. I needed to stop. I don’t like taking medications unless it’s really needed.

Because of that, I set out to find an alternative, besides cutting down on the foods that caused it. I didn’t want to give up things like coffee (my addiction!), pizza or hamburgers. Fried foods I can do without. I looked online and found alternatives such as apple cider vinegar and enzyme blockers. I decided to go to The Vitamin Shoppe to see if I could find the enzyme blockers.

I checked it out and found the enzyme blockers but the guy that helped me out also suggested I give another product a try first. The product was Gaia Herbs Reflux Relief. He said that he highly recommended it so I figured I’d give it a try. The product comes in a box which contains two (2) 12-count bottles (as seen above) for $19.99. It is a little pricey but so worth it.

After having used the product on several occasions in the last months, I have to say that the product is AMAZING!!! You can either chew one tablet before or after eating the food which causes acid reflux and the symptoms go away within minutes. Literally, within minutes. I’m not fond of chewable tablets but this one I can do. It doesn’t taste bad at all which is an added bonus. I don’t get acid reflux as much because I try to avoid the foods that trigger it (except coffee, will never give up coffee) but when I do, I chew a pill and done! I love it because I’m not taking any medication for it and even these I chew every so often. I can’t rave about it enough. It’s amazing!

Oh, and FYI, I love that the product is natural! Check out what the product description says:
